Bold Robber Sentenced in Fountain County Trial
Hubert Howard alias Chester A. Stewart was found guilty of burglary at the Fountain County trial. Judge I. E. Schoonover sentenced him to ten to twenty years in the Michigan City state prison. The case stemmed from a August 18 robbery at Covington Big Four station where hostages were forced to surrender money.

Pleasant Birthday Surprise for Dorothy Hobson
A birthday party was given for Dorothy Hobson nine year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Bud Hobson on Aug 30. Thirteen girls attended as a surprise. Dorothy received twenty three postcards and a locket from her grandparents Rev and Mrs A J Marshall. Watermelon and musk melon were served on the lawn followed by cake and floats inside. The guests departed in the late afternoon wishing Dorothy many happy returns.

Death of Lewis Catterson After Long Illness Of Tuberculosis
Lewis Catterson died at his home southeast of here yesterday after a long siege of tuberculosis. He was born October 6, 1869 and was 43 years 11 months and 6 days old. He was married and survived by his wife and three children. The funeral was conducted from the home by Rev. Tomlinson at 10 o clock today.
