New Postmaster in Charge at Kingman Office
At the close of August 31 1914 the Kingman post office transferred from C F Smith to Maurice LaVern Cory. Mail money orders stamps and receipts moved to a new room two doors east with updated fixtures and safe like combination locks. On September 1 1914 Kingman began service under the new postmaster with Miss Ivaloo Rowlett retained as assistant.

Suprise as J. M. Moore undergoes urgent surgery
News from Kingman reports J. M. Moore traveled to Russia ville to see his pacing horse Harry Thistle race when he fell seriously ill. He was rushed to Indianapolis for an appendectomy on August 29. Doctors considered appendicitis the cause. Moore wrote a letter to family before surgery. it arrived after. Mrs. Moore rushed to Indianapolis, then home. initial reports say the operation was a success and he is improving.

Sunday Services at Tangier Under Miss Martha Cox
The Tangier church will hold Sunday services next Sabbath with Miss Martha Cox in charge both morning and evening. Sunday School meets at 10 with Parke Brown as Superintendent.
