Farmers Institute to Be Held at Opera House Next Tuesday and Wednesday
Two big days feature five state speakers on farming topics and a corn exhibit with prize money larger than the county institute. The program covers music, soil fertility, silage, lime use, livestock and grain discussions, and farm building aims. Corn entries close Feb 1 with rules identical to the State Corn Growers Association. all entrants must attend one day.

VOTES 71 YEARS IN SAME PRECINCT
The Hillsboro Times led a race of claims for the oldest voter. Cain township’s James Frazier, 85, has voted 64 consecutive years. Uncle Tommy Ratcliff, 92, has cast ballots in Millcreek township’s 3rd precinct for 71 years since 1840. He and his family have long owned their farm and lived there continuously.
