Grandmother Hurt in Depot Collision with Fastened Buggy
Mrs. Piety Commons known as Grandma Commons, 81, was badly injured in a smash-up at the C. and E. I. depot Tuesday evening when a buggy overturned after a horse startled by a train release. She suffered a broken left shoulder blade in two places and two left ribs. She was rushed to her daughter Mrs. E. H. Towell’s home where Dr. Cuthbert attended her. she was reported improving.

Eliza Harvey 1844 1908 Obituary in Kind Christian Faith
Eliza Harvey born January 14 1844 daughter of Levi and Anna died December 2 1908. Survived by two sisters Mrs Hannah Haworth and Mrs Ann Marshall of four sisters and one brother. A devout Christian since 1872 she lived as a quiet faithful member and an invalid for six years longing to be with Jesus. Known as Lida she showed Dorcas like helpfulness and rest in the Lord.
