Ada Lawson 1871 1906 Pioneer of Harveysburg Family
Ada Lawson daughter of James and Ella Lawson died at 35 after a long illness of consumption. Born May 14 1871 she married James R Phipps in 1890 and had eight children four of whom survived. She joined the Harveysburg Friends church, died in quiet faith and was buried at Woll Creek cemetery after funeral at Harveysburg church.

Mrs C F Smith Recovers After Tumor Operation
About six weeks after childbirth Mrs. C. F. Smith underwent a surgical operation Sunday morning at 10 o clock. Dr. A L Ratcliff led the case with Dr. Pfaff of Indianapolis assisting to remove a large tumor. She is reported improving and on the way to a speedy recovery.
