Artesian and gas wells compare across states and costs

In Indiana Ohio and Michigan gas wells reach shallow depths while artesian wells drill deeper, with piping and labor methods differing. The Graphic notes Ohio methods, Osio practices, and broader costs, timing, and efficiency comparisons, arguing artesian wells are pricier but may be necessary for certain regions and irrigation policy debates in South Dakota.
