Shotgun death at McCormick sparks murder charge
Wella Wells a saw mill worker at McCormick was killed yesterday by Clinton Harmon and his brother William Harmon. The dispute over Wells’s alleged intimacy with Harmon’s wife led to a fatal shooting. Coroner’s jury charged the Harmons with murder and they are jailed in Abbeville. Wells’s wife hails from Alabama and had lived in McCormick about two years.
