Walhalla land sale surprises buyers on Bulwinkle tract
A large crowd attended a land sale in Walhalla led by Man Ry Horton for Anderson Real Estate and Investment Co. The Bulwinkle place on North Broad street near Main formed about sixty five building lots and several small farms. Lots sold from 350 to 2500 dollars depending on location. most plots wooded but easily cleared for homes. Many bidders competed, with buyers hoping to expand into a new residential section as developers anticipate rapid growth. A private sale had preceded the public event, and buyers eyed adjoining parcels. The scene drew intense interest as boundaries shifted and prospects of future development were discussed.
