Aiken, Nov 17 Wade Patterson a longtime Holiman in this city was shot and killed while on duty near the Powell Hardware Company. James Seigler a prominent Anifesty man wounded the officer firing at least three times with a Savage magazine pistol. Seigler had been free on bond just minutes earlier. Patterson left a wife and several children. Seigler is jailed awaiting further proceedings.
