Valhalla School Flag Day Exercises Inspire Community
Last Friday October 28 Valhalla graded school held Flag Day ceremonies with a student program, essays, recitations, and two addresses by W. G. Hughs and Col. K. P. Jaynes. A flag-raising followed a pageant, Governor Ansel sent greetings, and the event highlighted the Palmetto flag’s history and call for a larger auditorium. A relay race between Valhalla and Seneca High Schools capped the day amid local civic pride.
