On Wednesday evening in Fair Play the community enjoyed a school program led by Prof. J. Goush and Mion Muggles Thompson. The program featured recitations, tableaux and music by Mary Sheldon and Lawson Thompson, with Mr. Stribling as guest entertainer and remarks honoring local pioneers of the school. Attendees included families from Anderson, Townville, Saluda, and Polzar. preparations and visits noted by Dr. J. H. Holler and others. Childrens Day plans for June at the Baptist church were announced.

Charlotte May 1 Frank HL Jones the defaulting teller of Charlotte National Bank blamed for about 810,000 of the bank's funds. A bond of 84,000 was offered as security. Jones disappeared this morning and is reported to have said nothing. A preliminary hearing is to be held today. His accomplice Fon illo faces 17,000 bond on complicity charges in the embezzlement.
Westminster May 14 reports J J Dorm and P Bade back from Charleston representing Golden Link Lodge at the Grand Lodge gathering. Obituary notes Martha Allen, a respected elderly woman, died nearby.
