The Strother home in West Union and Valhalla hosted a Monday evening social for Miss Nan Strother with guests Callie Cook Florence Kamper Mando Slappey and Ethel Culcock. Guests exchanged hearts with quotation parts while Ethel Culcock won the ladies prize for forty quotes and Ed Mann won the men’s prize after thirteen quotes. Fruit punch was available as host Dave Strother and Ed Mann presented prizes.
