Revival adds eighteen members at Baptist church

A recent meeting at the Baptist church resulted in 18 additions. Rev. McDavid led the service with Rev. L. Mitchel of Honea Path assisting. The revival closed with baptism by Pastor, followed by a brief sermon. Numerous locals and visitors attended including WS. Crippen and Leneve Face Murder Charge in Bow Street

London August 29 Crippen and his typist Ethel Leneve were charged jointly with murder of Crippen's wife in Bow Street court. Leneve also faces harboring and maintaining Crippen after the crime. Evidence cited suggests Crippen contemplated self harm and that Leneve protested innocence. Canadian arrest warrant tied to the unknown woman whose body was found at Crippen's residence.
