Bloodshed at Coaldale church festival shocks Bluefield area
At a Methodist church social in Coaldale near Bluefield West Virginia a violent clash between rival church factions ended in multiple injuries and one death. Benjamin Capely was killed instantly while his wife suffered severe head injuries. Mrs Harper was wounded and Henry Garden shot in the leg. Two unknown assailants fled the scene after the melee.
