Eckel Buys Keota Farm Move Expected Soon
E G Eckel of St Joseph Mo purchased the Henry G Wells farm six miles southwest of Keota on the state highway. He plans to move with his wife and two children in about three weeks, while the Wells family will relocate to Greeley after ten years of homesteading the half section sold to Eckel. Lewis Painter returns to Windsor for sugar factory work after a summer near Keota. A note urges warm lunches for Keota schoolchildren, citing 1920 Red Cross findings and local examples in Grover and Hereford.
