W. R. Patterson, Weld County treasurer, had an appendicitis operation at St. Joseph's Hospital last Friday at 9 a.m. J. Q. Williams in Denver reports Patterson is progressing well and may be moved to his Greeley home sooner than expected. Friends in Keota wish him a speedy recovery.

Briggsdale Harvest Home Picnic Draws Big Crowd
Briggsdale’s Harvest Home picnic last Tuesday drew a large, lively crowd. Keota Peerless Cornet Band led by Lee F. Patty performed well as David Shimp won first and Ira S. Griffin second in car corn and stock beets. A Briggsdale vs Dutch Girl Lake game ended 17 to 11 with Briggsdale leading after Penny innings.
