Weld county districts will not cut public school costs this year. Past debt and warrants limit levy reductions though some economies exist. 101 of 103 districts submitted budgets to County Superintendent Charles W. Martin, who expects few increases and possible decreases only in a few strong districts this year.

Audits of county treasurers show Weld county collected taxes at the lowest expense among counties. In 1919 salaries per dollar were .92c in Larimer, .75c in Denver, and .56c in Weld. by 1920 Weld’s cost fell to .42c.
