County Agent awards three silver cups for best twenty ears of Minnesota 13 Reid’s yellow dent and White Australian corn at the Denver Corn Show January 15 to 22. Weld County Agent Knapp urges exhibitors to send corn to him in Greeley for delivery to the show.
A Armistice Day program at the school house included a two minute moment of silence at 11 o clock and patriotic songs. Roland Rumsey read an original essay while D W Schoonover spoke on the day and Rev H T LeGrand addressed schools. The event closed with Where The Columbines Grow sung by students. The Help-One-Another Club met with Mrs M L Haworth the previous Thursday.
Sunday School at 10 a m followed by a sermon Breaking Down the Walls at 11 a m. Young People's Meeting at 7 p m with The Other Wise Man topic. Henry Van Dyke, prominent religious thinker, is recognized. Sunday evening sermon builds on his story and its Christian lessons. All welcome to services.
The Epworth League social was well attended with about sixty people. An informal program and a tea/refreshment spread followed by plans for the Thanksgiving night event. Local residents, visitors, and neighbors shared greetings. several local families hosted and attended gatherings around town.
