Local notes recount J A Rumsey family birthday party for Robert and Roland March 6. Visits include Moon and Massy from Cheyenne. eight week attendance contest among Keota M E Church and Buckingham Church youths. box oranges from California shared by Nevins and Hughston families. school minstrel show raised about 27 dollars. various social visits and holiday dinners.
A cordial invitation to all services at the Baptist church on Sunday March 13 with Sunday School at 10 a.m., sermons at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., and a youth meeting at 7 p.m. Pastor H. T. LeGrand signs. Also for rent a 520 fenced aerge land property six miles east of Keota with windmill and water, $150 per year, inquire Abbott Frye, 1357 Newton St., Denver.
Lean Mr and Mrs Jerry Coldwell visited in Keota with Mrs Coldwell’s parents the Jobbins family and returned with them. John Moore moved to Sterling for work and Mrs Moore plans a two week stay in Keota. J Kisicki of Omaha bought the Harkins place near Sligo and will move soon. Mrs Ora Sanders has been ill. Ladies hats advertised at 44-45 store. Buckingham notes cover visitors, a grade patriotic program, a basketball game with Keola town, and Armenian Fund proceeds. Several local visits and family travel are described including trips to Fort Collins and San Fernando California.
Silvis residents spent Sunday at the Fleming home while Mrs. Moore hosted a Wednesday afternoon gathering with a dainty lunch. The List and Nordell and Moore families joined Sunday dinner at the A. D. List home. Trumbo family visited the L. A. Poush ranch, where Mrs. Poush slowly recovers strength.
