Local notes report Keota residents and visitors such as Mr and Mrs W Peters and J N Harris preparing trips to Medford Oregon while plans for the Buckingham 4th feature a full day of activities. Royal weather and rail work are noted along with rural homesteads and sales.
Correspondence reports Weldon edged Buckingham 15 to 14 in a close game. Bucking ham beat Keota 11 to 6 in a second match. Local social notes mention visits by Mrs Potter and Mrs Zelley, Mrs Galispie and Mrs Cooper, and others. A horse was injured in a wire fence incident. The Buckingham Sunday School program was successful.
The never sweat society of Greece wood Valley met in regular order Monday evening and elected their officers for the ensuing year. Earl Montgomery left Friday with his car for a few days in Greeley. Clide Cottel, one of our rustling farmers, has begun plowing to have it ready for fall seeding. L. Wintie is installing a 6 inch air suction pump in his well for irrigation. The parents of Mr. Hock returned Saturday to Milwaukee Wis after visiting their son and family. Miss Wilson of Windsor visited with her sister Mrs. Wm Brader.
Mrs Inez Craig of Denver visited her sisters in law Mrs John Craig and Mrs Clifford Craig last week. Mount View Sunday School plans Children Day on June 18 with suitable exercises. Carl Haworth left for Greeley Ernest Scott to Cheyenne and Harry Wecas to Denver seeking work. Mrs Georgia Scott hosted a young people gathering with dancing a late lunch and a farewell mood. Mr and Mrs K K Tortune hosted guests from Greeley. Miss Ethel Scott and Miss Nora Knowles visited Miss Goldie Peterson midweek.
