A public notice warns Pan Motor Company stockholders to beware of schemes that demand fees to join fake stockholders leagues. It states brokers offer Pan Motor shares under ten dollars but cannot deliver, and urges investors not to trade out their stock. The message claims 34,000 subscribers and a nationwide Union coverage.
The Colorado Food Administration reports wheat flour costs locally are lower than in most states except Oregon. Substitutes show prices nearly level with other states, but Colorado’s limited substitute grain production plus freight keep substitute product costs higher than wheat. Officials hope improved methods will push substitutes toward normal prices nationwide.
The U S Food Administration in Colorado relaxes sugar control to ensure supplies for an intense coming canning season. Beet sugar output will drop about 500 million pounds next year and Cuban sugar is tightening amid war and transport issues. Two teaspoons of sugar per cup stay allowed, pie and desserts with added sugar are forbidden. rural notices mention Mildred Krum teaching in Keota and a campus visit, plus a postponed District Sunday School Rally to be held June 16.

John Griffin of Keota Colorado files a contest against Dr Henry G Miller of Elizo Colorado over a homestead entry in West Half of Southwest Quarter Section 7 Township 9 Range 60 sixth principal meridian. Contest alleges abandonment since September 1912 and non military excused absence, with cancellation sought after four publications. Dr. B L Fowler, a dentist, will be in Keota during the first seven days of each month, offering dental services to residents. The arrangement provides local access to his practice on a regular schedule.
