Buckingham Wins in Weld County Republican Caucus
The Keota schoolhouse hosted a large Weld County Republican caucus last Monday with strong Luckingham district support. Sixty-seven delegates were selected amid high female attendance, a close vote score 47 to 56 for Buckingham nominees, and a postmeeting party tone. Albert Jobbins arrived from Bedford, Iowa for a family visit before wintering in Oregon.

Northeastern Weld County invites residents to Keota for Iowa Day on Saturday August 10. Registrations by state natives, athletic events including horse racing and a ball game, grand ball in the evening, small entrance fees with prizes, and receipts shared. Walter Overcamp Receives New Separator For Keota Work
To Start Threshing Walter Overcamp has a new Case separator shipped to Briggsdale and will begin threshing at the Chicago Ranch about August 10. He will use Mr. Freeman's traction engine and then move toward Keota after completing work at his place. W O Young returns from Council Bluffs trip and Macedonia Iowa with a new separator en route to Keota. Young, a veteran thresherman, expects a strong Keota season.

Two New School Buildings Planned for District 92
District No 92 will raise two 18 by 20 foot school buildings before September 3. One sits at Judd and Pettigrew in section 20 township 8 range 61, the other near Swanson south of Dutch Girl lake in township 7 range 61. Work continues on the Hightower school in District 93, an 18 by 24 frame with cement foundation on the Dendinger homestead, supervised by Mr Dendinger and built by volunteer patrons.
