A grand reception and banquet in Farmers and Merchants Hall honored Harry Owens and Henry Hart, returned soldiers from France. Speeches by D W Schoonover and Rev Dickson followed a varied program. Harry Owens recounted front line hardships and a gas attack, while Sgt Clyde Owens described aviation training and air currents at Wilbur Wright field.
County Superintendent C W Martin asks teachers in eastern Weld County to contact him now with their preferred location for the March examination at Grover or Keota. A branch exam will be held at one site if enough interest is shown to justify it.
