Earnest Lingelbach eleven dies after appendix ruptures following surgery in Heyenne hospital. Funeral held at Grover cemetery. Local notes report community events, weather damage, school meetings, and visits. several families mentioned with moves and illness updates.
Grace Bradford won first prize in dramatic reading in the senior class and Emma Folck second in the sophomore division. Bradford’s piece was The Fiddle Told and Folck’s Tommy's Prayer.
Wheat Growers of the state will hold a state mass meeting at the Court House Akron Colorado on Monday at 1 30 o clock. The gathering will decide whether to continue signing contracts under the pooling plan of the National Wheat Growers Association or withdraw and allow the approved contract sale. W H McMichael of Kansas president will speak on the two plans.
Keota grades held declamatory contests at Buckingham and Grover with winners advancing to Buckingham. Glen Bowles earned multiple ribbons in track while Thelma Rhoadarmer claimed the dramatic title in a decisive second-round win. Gladys Lenhard and Mildred Rhoadarmer sparked the relay.
Baptist church announces Sunday School at 10 a m and preaching at 11 a m and 8 p m. A young people's meeting at 7 p m. A cordial welcome is extended for worship. Pastor H T Legrand invites attendance.
