Health officer Dr James Kreimeyer compiles April disease tallies, births and deaths, tuberculosis control actions, and public health activities. Notable figures include 7 tuberculosis 10 hepatitis 3 influenza 3 pneumonia 1 scarlet fever 3. 113 births with 41 white and 12 colored deaths. Sanitation, vaccination, school nursing, and health inspections described along with efforts to improve Canton Street sanitation and arrangements for hospital observations.

Major Biles, a veteran of World War I and Korea, named executive officer of the Ter Tank Hattation of the iitn Aw bore Onvisiore. He served two years as a sergeant before graduating from the Officers Candidate School at Fort Knox. His awards include the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, French Croix de Guerre with two palms, and Belgian Fourragere, among others. He resides at Fort Campbell with his wife. Two staff meetings were held at the Health Center.

Open Letter From Hopkinsville Leader Ahead of Mayoral Term

Governor Wetherby named me to Hopkinsville Common Council and I now serve as Mayor Pro-tem. The next mayor faces grave responsibility and must dedicate themselves to uniting the city, fighting graft and vice, and serving all residents. I will budget departments, work with business and religious leaders, and keep Hopkinsville solvent while pursuing industry and progress. Let us unite for solidarity and progress.
