Hickory wedding unites Raymond Chambers and Mary Miller

Mary Miller of Hickory became the bride of Raymond Alvin Chambers of High Point in a May 8 ceremony at Millers Lutheran church with Rev Robert A Eibing officiating. Attended by immediate family, guests from High Point and Marion, the couple planned a Mexico West Coast Hawaii honeymoon and will reside in North Carolina. Mrs Miller hosted a reception at her Eighth Street home.

Miss Miriam Groves Weds Frank Bassett III in Gastonia

Miss Miriam Elizabeth Groves, daughter of Mrs Earl Groves of Gastonia, NC, and Frank Bassett III, son of Mr and Mrs Frank Bassett Jr of Cox Mill Road, were married at First Presbyterian Church Gastonia. The ceremony featured M H Applewhite singing and organist W Ralph Armstrong. Bride wore Mousseline de Soie with Alencon lace, bouquet of stephanotis and white cymbidium orchids. Guests from multiple states attended. reception followed at Gaston Country Club. The couple will reside in Florida.
