A Rotarians benefit match set for December 19 at 7 30 p m in Lexington indoor arena features Lexington Rotary and Tchula Rotary players. Proceeds aid local charities during the holidays with a large roster of substitutes and first aid staff ready to continue play.
Several Lexington shops announce changes in their locations for the New Year. Jitney Jungle moves from Bott building to the Masonic block across the square, joining The Fincher Company's No. 2 store. Fincher’s main store will consolidate with its three story square building. Applebaum Brothers plan to move into Lucas Music Shop annex after the holidays. Lucas has no plan yet. merchandise will be stored temporarily. Minor interior changes expected at other square stores.

Obie Wyers, 17, Durant youth, was killed by an unknown assailant as John H. Browne, merchant of Durant, and his wife left the Hotel Blanche after closing their store. Browne later died from the wound at Community Hospital Lexington. Police sought clues but no suspect was found.
