Capt. George T. Buck of Tebula, squadron commander in a top scoring Mediterranean P-51 group, earns the Distinguished Flying Cross. A 1942 West Point graduate, he has six confirmed enemy planes and holds the Air Medal. he is the son of Mrs. George Buck of Tebula.

Cruger Woman Fatally Struck by Freight Train
Mrs. H. A. Spivey of Cruger was killed instantly Wednesday afternoon when her car stalled on the tracks at the Cruger crossing and she could not escape before a freight train struck. She is survived by her husband and son Cecil.
