Marketing Quotas Voting Set For December 10 in County Precincts
County Agent T. M. Williams announced voting on 1939 farm program marketing quotas will be held Saturday December 10 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Precinct officers and locations listed include Acona School House, Harvey's Store, Emory at Smith's, Bowling Green McLellan's, and others with chairmen named for each site. After polls close, precinct chairmen will report results to the county agent.

Board Holds Busy December Session
The Board of Supervisors met and adjourned after a busy session focused on routine matters. Highlights include a $25 donation to the State Highway Patrol for short wave radio equipment, a $25 donation to the U D G for Confederate records with WPA help, upcoming bids on county fund depositories, gasoline and lumber supplies, and a $25,000 school loan with the lowest bids accepted.

Ebenezer Youth Archibs Edwards Dies in Accident
Funeral services for Archie Edwards aged 13 were held at Ebenezer Baptist Church after he died from a skull fracture suffered when a horse he rode jumped a fence and threw him against a tree near his home. He was a seventh grade student and member of the community I families include six brothers and five sisters.
