Amelia Morgan 67 of Cambria died after her car left a ditch near Fox Lake. John Nalepinski 76 of Milwaukee was killed in a crosswalk collision.
Jeanine Gruszyski, 14, of Chicago, visiting her aunt in Salem, burned in the Rose Spychala home bathroom at noon. Rescue squad found her badly burned. coroner and sheriff notified. initial reports say a electric heater caused clothes to ignite and she ran from the house.
Eugene L. Bob Kohl testified against William J. Welter and two Chicago men, Lawrence Nutley and Richard Nicks, at a preliminary hearing for the August 9 1 shooting death of Baraboo traffic officer James Jantz. Welter, 23, Nutley 27, Nicks 28, denied the charge.
A Fond du Lac house was destroyed by an explosion and fire on Friday injuring two occupants. Mrs. Shirley Dibell reported smelling gas to Wisconsin Power and Light Co. She is in serious condition with burns over 70 percent of her body. her husband Moreau suffered fewer injuries. Neighbor Mrs. A C Miritz said the firm had no one available to check the situation.

Chicago attorney Lawrence Lenit surrendered Friday for questioning about his role in an alleged illegal infant transfer. An 18 year old Sheboygan Falls youth sought in the assault and choking of a 38 year old farm woman was found asleep in a stolen car with a loaded shotgun. He was taken to Sheboygan Memorial Hospital and then to Sheriff Harry Hill for questioning after a bloodhound aided search. The victim received throat bruises and was listed in good condition.
