Week End Auto Mishaps Bring Injury to Seven Seven were hurt in 11 automobile accidents on city and county roads over Saturday and Sunday, sheriffs and police departments reported today. Six of the injuries were caused by highway collisions in the county. Two motorists were arrested as the result of one of the accidents. Three people were injured Sunday morning when an automobile driven by Larry Matoska, 23, 904 Forty-second street, skidded on Highway 42 south of the city during a heavy rainfall and crashed into a tree. The others injured were Chester Seroka, Casimir Adamowicz, and more, with details of injuries noted. Deputies described the accident scene and porch damage caused by the wheel from Matoska's car. The injured were taken to Kenosha hospital. Additional incidents included neck injuries from a side swipe near Highway 41, and a woman hurt when a turn was missed on Wilmot road. A U S Army driver, Col. Robert Black, and passengers described injuries and hospital transport. A driver arrested for intoxication faced fines. another companion was fined for intoxication. A pedestrian was the only weekend casualty in six mishaps, with Kaletic injured on Sheridan road and a car striking a pedestrian on Twenty-fifth avenue. Inquest Set on Death of Erving Maki
Deputy Coroner Jay B. Glerum announced a coroner's inquest will be held Thursday at the county building into the death of 18 year old Erving Maki of High Bridge Wisconsin. Maki was found dead along Soo Line tracks between Trevor Wisconsin and Antioch Michigan after midnight on September 17. A six man jury was sworn this afternoon to investigate. The jurors are Gould M. Jones Chester M. Goodman Charles Radford Edward Binninger Arthur Dupons and Albert Beaupre. The sheriff's office reports Maki worked as a flag man with a section crew on a track near Trevor the day before his death.
