Body of Pfc Joslin Returns to Kenosha
The body of Pfc. Joseph D. Joslin Jr., 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Joslin of 3716 18th Ave, arrived in Kenosha from the Chicago Graves Distribution Center. He died March 9, 1945, after serving on Leyte where he contracted infantile paralysis. Born August 5, 1925, he lived in Kenosha all his life and attended Roosevelt Elementary, Washington Junior, and Kenosha High School. He helped in Joslin Market before enlisting January 4, 1944, with basic training at Aberdeen Proving Ground and later training in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Georgia before going overseas in January 1945. He belonged to the First Presbyterian Church and is survived by his parents and sister Jean Joslin of Kenosha.
