Woman Dies While Fishing in Lake Michigan at Kenosha
Mrs. Nicholas Walanovicz, 54, of 6741 14th Ave. Kenosha, suffered a fatal cerebral hemorrhage while fishing from rocks near the concrete pier at the foot of 56th St. She was with her husband and a friend when she collapsed and drowned. Coast Guard and bystander rescued the body. coroner said she was dead on entering the water. A Wilno, Poland native, she came to Kenosha in 1912 and was active in St. Casimir's Church, Rosary Sodality, Polish National Alliance, and Polish Ladies Auxiliary Post 34. She leaves husband Nicholas, son Alfons of Aurora, a sister in Kenosha, and two grandchildren.

300 Teenagers Threaten Squad Car at Bay Beach
