Two Oshkosh Men Die In Hortonville Crossing Crash
Two Oshkosh men returning from a fishing trip were killed when their car collided with a westbound North Western train at a crossing on highway 45 between Hortonville and Greenville. Melvin B. Apell, 58, died at the wreck, and Charles L. Tuttle, 20, was thrown clear. the car was demolished and Apell was extricated two hours later. Outagamie County Coroner Leslie Holzer ruled the deaths due to the collision.
