Dr. Lawrence says the board can still dictate to trustees and patients as Zeitler refuses resignation. Oscar Lindgren reportedly ordered a controversial sink moved to the cellar, a move tied to a $20,000 libel suit and altered lives. Lawrence says he will not reconsider and will leave the situation as is for now.
Harold A. Brosk was re elected president of Beth Hillel Temple at the annual meeting. Other officers named include David L. Phillips vice president Milton Letven treasurer Hy Weiner secretary and Irving Berenson Harry Chemerow William Lepp and Joseph Ward two year trustees. Dr William Lipman fills an unexpired one year term. Holdover trustees include Mrs B I Lepp Mrs Kenneth Bisno Irving East and George Phillips. Rabbi Arthur Brodey leads the congregation with Mrs George Phillips ex officio on the board.
A 17 year old Kenosha youth was slightly hurt when a tire blew out on a northbound car on 39th Avenue near Bentz Road. The vehicle struck a telephone pole, snapping it. The driver, William P. Jacobs of Embassy Club Trailer Court, reported cut knuckles and a bruised knee and was ordered to report for driving after suspension.
