Aged Kenoshan Is Killed by Electroliner
A 72 year old Kenosha man, John E. Schmidt of Twenty-fifth Avenue, was struck by a southbound North Shore Electroliner near Washington Road and killed instantly. Motorman Dan Crebb said the man moved into the path and there was no time to stop. The body was identified by Rev. J. Herman Johnson and taken to Hansen Funeral Home. Schmidt, born January 23 1874 in Ackerville Wisconsin, lived in Kenosha since 1919. survived by his widow, three daughters, two brothers and three sisters.

Seven Injured In City County Over Week End
Seven persons were injured in city and county traffic accidents over the week end none seriously. In Kenosha six automobile accidents hurt six people. Donald Woodard 33 of Waukegan faced charges of reckless driving after a Sunday crash. Bobby Scholler eight and Nick DeCono seventy five were injured in separate collisions. Police reported details of the incidents and hospital transports.

Three Die as Home Burns Near Princeton Illinois
John W. Bailey publisher of the Bureau County Republican aged 38 and his two children Nancy seven and John four died in a house fire southeast of Princeton Illinois. Bailey tried to rescue the children and pushed his wife Mary from a window before he perished. Mary survived with shock. Bailey was a 1930 University of Wisconsin graduate.

58 to Hang for Camp Murders
