Born October 7 1887 in Boone Iowa he moved to Kenosha at age ten and served the company in multiple cities including Janesville Ashland Mayville Stoughton. He was 62 and survived by his widow Irene Murray two sons Joseph M Thorp and Robert H a daughter Mrs John Conron and six grandchildren.

Escaped patient wrecks four cars in Wisconsin town
A feeble minded patient escaped from the state hospital in Waypon Wisconsin and stole two cars and wrecked four before recapture. The 24 year old Wisconsin Rapids man drove a car for a block then crashed into another vehicle and swapped cars twice more. He caused about 500 dollars in damage and was caught within an hour and fifteen minutes. Police noted ignition keys left in several cars on the main street.
