Two Die In Auto Crashes North Of Tomah Wisconsin
Two men die and three others injured in two crashes on U.S. Highway 12 about 12 miles north of Tomah Wisconsin. Victims are Hans Reimer 36 Madison a state employee and Thomas Mould 65 Baraboo. Injured include Maurice Harmon 33 Madison Frank Sawacki 27 Madison and Thomas Smith 39 Black River Falls. Reimer and Sawacki rode with Harmon in a car that collided head on with Smiths car. Moulder died after his car rear ended a stopped semi truck amid a traffic jam from the first crash. Authorities plan inquest into Reimers death. no inquest for Moulders. Reimer died at Sparta Hospital. Harmon taken to Sparta Hospital Sawacki and Smith to Black River Falls Hospital. Sawacki listed in critical condition with leg and collar bone fractures. Reimer had been supervisor of correctional services for the State Youth Service division. Harmon staff member and Sawacki a UW graduate assistant in social work.
