Five clergymen surveyed on how excess wealth tests American virtue. Weary of self indulgence, they urge stewardship, disciplined sacrifice, and a shift from private consumption to global aid and public service to align prosperity with Christian mission.
International relations committee of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Kenosha hosts Prof Theodore F. Marburg of Marquette University at St Mary's Catholic Church hall Monday 6:30 p.m. He will discuss American trade with Russia and West Germany citing his degrees and roles at Clark University Princeton University University of Nebraska Hamline WPI and professional society memberships.
Rev. Philip S. Harris rector of St. James Episcopal Church Milwaukee will lecture at St. Matthew's School of Religion Sunday at 7 p.m. in Guild Hall on Saul of Tar sus Paul the Apostle. Harris, born in Al hambra California, earned a USC B.A. and an S.T.B. from General Theological Seminary in 1943. He has served churches in San Diego Lynwood Omaha Atchison and Milwaukee and chairs the Milwaukee Inner City Council among other duties. He is married with four children and his wife will attend in Kenosha.
Narcotics vice subject for BPW Mothers of World War II Unit II plans a 2 PM card party at the Odd Fellows Temple with assistants Mines Ann Strehle Joseph Dodge Hans Hanson Harold Uphill and William Garner. Detective Charles Gumm of the Milwaukee Police will discuss Narcotics and Vice at a Westosha BPW meeting on March 21 after a lunch at Fairview Restaurant Twin Lakes.
The United Presbyterian Church will observe its 35th anniversary with an association meeting Sunday at 7 p.m. Rev. Bernard Quick from Minia Egypt will speak. The program includes community singing led by Merlin Jones, devotions, and recordings by the junior choir. Cake and coffee will follow hosted by the Women’s Association.
A roast beef dinner is scheduled for Saturday from 6 to 8 p m sponsored by Ligne Lodge 15 and Ladies of Vikings at the Swedish American Club. Public reservations are available by calling the club Saturday. A St Patrick s Day motif will feature at a card party Sunday at 8 p m hosted by St Thomas Home and School Association in the parish hall with refreshments.
A three dimensional style show is planned by the Kenosha County Medical Assistants Society. The showing on Wednesday April 27 features fashions by Holleb's jewelry by Herbert's and hair styles by Vi Christensen at St Joseph's Catholic High School Auditorium at 8 o'clock. A dinner meeting at the Elks Club includes millinery fashions shown by Lepp and Co.
Milligan College Touring Choir directed by Richard Tappa will give a public concert at First Christian Church in Milligan, Tennessee, on Wednesday March 30 at 7 p.m. The event, announced by Rev. George A. Roberts, features sacred and secular works and a post concert program in the fellowship hall with ensembles the Clef Masters, the Coeds, the Harmonettes, and the Continentals.
Saturday events include a roast beef dinner 6 to 8 pm at Swedish American Club hosted by Signe Lodge Ladies of Vikings and a Fish and Ham St Patrick s Day supper at Norwegian American Hall by Sons of Norway with 5 30 and 6 30 servings A benefit party at Odd Fellows Temple 8 pm to raise funds for modernization featuring Lily of Valley Whitbeck Rebekah Lodges and Park City Lodge Sunday features a Welcoming Tea 3 30 to 5 pm at First Congregational Church hall honoring Rev Henry P Freeling and Mrs Freeling and a 7 pm anniversary celebration for First United Presbyterian Church with Rev Bernard Quick speaking
Sons of Norway sponsor a St Patrick s Day supper at the Norwegian American Club on a Saturday night. Servings are at 5 30 and 6 30 with committee members listed including Ray Roseth Albert Smestad Elder Dahl Peter Dahl Leo Skowronski James Kirby Nick Dyrhovd Bernice Eidser Thomas Eggedrud and Don Jespersen.

Refreshments follow at the Russian American Home. local committee members and Junior Federated Orthodox Russian Club assist.

Mrs. Lawrence Baumbach spoke on Schuyler Colfax founder of the Rebekah degree in Odd Fellowship.
