Allens League plans a Saturday event at the Kenosha Woman's Club with a spring theme Salads for Lunch Fashions for Spring. A buffet luncheon starts at 1 pm followed by the style show and cards. Segal's outfits modeled by League members. models chair Mrs Richard Hammond.
Daniel Travanti of 5104 29th Ave serves this year on the University of Wisconsin campus theater committee.
A baby shower honoring Mrs. Roy Krahn of Bristol was held Sunday by her sister Mrs Richard Krahn of Lincoln Drive. Twenty five guests from Kenosha Burlington Racine Bristol Pleasant Prairie Salem and Milwaukee attended with assistance from her mother Mrs. Leo Gillmore of Bristol.

County and city PTA groups announce a busy week with talks on school and education themes. Washington State Graded PTA hosts a round table Tuesday at 7 30 PM. Pleasant Prairie and Highland PTAs plan activities and programs.
Weddings reported by Kenosha families span January to February with couples living in Kenosha or abroad due to Navy assignments in Argentia Newfoundland and Norfolk Virginia. Notable ceremonies include Kathleen Konrad and Donald Sowden at St George Rectory and Janet Jansen with Glen Blackledge at First Congregational Church.
Local Home and School groups announce meetings for Tuesday evening across Breck, St. Mary’s, St. Thomas, and St. George campuses. St. Mary’s speaker Rev. Chrysostom Gernets will address attendees. St. George Girl Scouts present a program. A February 20 vow renewal, Charleen Bredek and Larry Larsen, was observed at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Louis Ulrich officiating.

Amaranth Order announces Racine Night to be observed at Tuesday’s Queen Christina Court meeting at 7:45 p.m. at the Woman’s Club. Honorees include Racine members and officers with royal matron Nina Erickson and royal patron Hans Nelson. Roy Chumley leads the session. May include tribute to charter and new members. Roy Radtke will show grand court slides and international court photos. Reception follows. refreshments by the Mines.
Golden Age Meet Golden Age Club Group II meets Wednesday at 1 30 PM at the PYC to view a film on Mexico. Norbert Roeder presents the movie. Ladies born in February and March will be seated at the birthday table.

The wedding is set for Sept. 3, announced during the Pontillos 25th wedding anniversary celebration. Also noted, two Kenosha students, Thomas Maruca of 2710 70th St. and Kennard Scribner of 6336 24th Ave., recently joined Kappa Eta Kappa at the University of Wisconsin.

Vernon A. Bingham spoke on Civil Defense to the Daughters of the American Revolution at the Elks Club afternoon meeting. The program was sponsored by the national defense committee led by Mrs. R. C. Crehore with hostesses Mrs. Raymond LeMieux and Mrs. Crehore.
