The Chicago Art Institute rents original works by area artists with a jury selecting pieces priced 50 to 600. About 2,500 paintings have been rented in five years, with rentals from 5 to 25 dollars for two months, renewable, and one-fourth later bought. Representational works dominate. abstracts rarely rented initially. nudes are not rented.

Flynn Proposes $S Insurance Plan
