A French Air France four engined liner struck migratory birds after takeoff from Nice killing 37 aboard and injuring one. Among the dead were American dancer Harriett Katzmann 22 and 11 Britons along with two Belgians and an Italian.

A new snow storm was forecast for Wisconsin tonight and Tuesday after Sunday snowfall of one to four inches. Kenosha reported two inches with Union Grove at four inches the most. Two to four inches more snow were expected in the south tonight with colder temps, and some flurries were seen tomorrow. It was 34 at noon in downtown Kenosha.

Federal Judge Robert Tehan deferred sentencing after a pre sentence investigation. Kultgen and an accomplice staged a 1887 dollar Ashippun heist on Jan 30 and a 429 dollar Neosho robbery last December.
Voters in Kenosha and across Wisconsin prepare for a spring primary with city council, justice of the peace, constable and state supreme court races. Four candidates seek the Broadfoot seat, including Arold Murphy and Alvin Reis. city council hopefuls include Fisher, Gerling, Olkives, Rhey, Schend, Shearer and Wade. Polls open 7 AM to 8 PM with 32,000 city residents registered.
