Washington Spy Trial Names Linked to Judith Coplon Case
Secret FBI report introduced in Judith Coplon's espionage trial references two Washington men involved with alleged Russian spies. The documents describe Niles securing a passport for Philip Levy despite State Department reluctance and Kent, a former state official, found dead in the Potomac with throat injuries. Kent’s death followed job loss as executive director of Ad Multigraph Corp. The file notes Sotirov’s address linked to a UN role, and that Niles questioned the Levy connection amid concerns about spies.
