Miss Lucinda Davis 100, a Pleasant Prairie native, died Wednesday at the Theresa and Elizabeth home in Racine after a long illness. Born in 1848, she celebrated her centennial with an April 18 open house at the Theresa and Elizabeth home. She taught district school, was a longtime dressmaker in Kenosha, and remained active until age-related eyesight decline. A longtime member of Kenosha First Baptist Church, she outlived her parents and siblings and was the last of her family.

Hennepin County authorities report a man shot dead his sister Dr. James Reynolds and his wife at the Reynolds estate south of Minneapolis and then killed himself.
