Kenosha area suffers widespread mosquitoes disrupting outdoor events from baseball games to beaches. The Keno sha Family Drive In theater sprayed the surrounding area with DDT by plane to curb the larvae. Pilot Johnny Ellsworth flew at about 20 feet, releasing the chemical in an effort to end the insect nuisance.
