Thousands Attend Big Fishing Derby at Twin Lakes
Lake Mary endured a cold day as about 15 000 visitors rotated through the Twin Lakes derby hosted by the Conservation 28. 2.0 club. About 30 fish were registered, led by John Som mers with a nine pound northern winning a 35 mm camera. Vernon Jorns won the top prize Rambler 1957. Other winners received machines, motors, a dehumidifier, a shotgun, a TV, a chair, a week’s vacation, a mattress, and various smaller awards for large fish and odd catches. Entires and food sales totaled near 14 000 dollars. Perry noted all prize winners have been notified.
