Edward W. Fanning aged 69 died at home in Kenosha on New Year’s afternoon after a brief illness. He was a longtime city employee and chemist at the Filtration plant, married to Jeanette Irving in 1808, with four sons and one daughter, two sisters, and several relatives surviving. He was a member of St Thomas Aquinas church and the City Employes union.

Farmhand Begins Sentence in Theft
Eugene Peterson, 32, a Woodville farm hand from Hudson Wisconsin, began a one year prison term after pleading guilty to stealing a car in which a five month old baby was asleep. Mrs Michalyna Grochowski 74 a Kenosha resident and widow of Ludwig Grochowski died at Kenosha hospital after a long illness. Born in Augustow Poland September 29 1871 she came to the United States in 1905 settling in Kenosha. She was a member of St Casimir’s church and Rosary Society. Survived by two sons Charles Milwaukee George Kenosha and three daughters Frances Melintyre Helen Rooney and Bernice Jones Milwaukee. She married Ludwig Grochowski in Poland in May 1909. Funeral details not provided.
