Slippery pavements caused three of four weekend city crashes with minor injuries to four people. Lorne E. Davis 20 suffered a knee cut after hitting a curb on 65th St and 24th Ave as his car slid in wet conditions.
Fourteen debaters from Mary D. Bradford High School joined a three-division practice tournament in Two Rivers Wisconsin. Coach John Davies tested sophomores against veterans and tried new varsity pairings. Stenzel led B division speakers while Plous Jr Merriam and Stascotti Smoler won in A division. Cross examination saw Wendorf Kullman go 0-3 and McCulloch Gabrielsen 3-0. Other Kenosha participants included Freeburg and Fortmann.
Theodore J. Becker age 53 of 5316 40th Ave Kenosha died last night at his home from a heart attack. He was a painting contractor and longtime resident born Oct 31 1904. Survived by his widow Catherine Kemen and a large family including five sons three daughters and several grandchildren. He was active in St Marys Church and Painters Local 934 and served 47 years as Sunday School superintendent.
Theodore G. Martin, 78, of 6517 22nd Ave., president of Paramount Fuel and Supply Co., died Sunday afternoon at Kenosha Hospital after weeks of illness. Born July 30, 1879 in Winona Minnesota, he moved to Kenosha in 1893 and led the fuel firm for many years.
Otto F. Polzin, 61, of 6029 49th Ave., died Sunday at Kenosha Hospital from injuries after a fall on his basement steps Friday night. Born in Lebanon, Wis., he lived in Kenosha 35 years, worked as an auto mechanic, and belonged to Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church and UAW Local 72. He is survived by a son Kenneth O. Polzin of Kenosha, three daughters in Wyoming and R. J. Bowens in Portmouth, a brother Arthur and two sisters, plus nine grandchildren.
Andrew Knudsen 77 died early Sunday at Kenosha Hospital after a long illness. Born in Denmark October 25 1880 he came to Racine as a youth and later farmed in Paris Township before moving to Kenosha in 1917 where he worked as a carpenter.

The six hour outing ends at 3 p.m. with shotgun only, radio communications, plane observation led by Claire Fox, and a $5 bounty for each fox bagged plus a mid hunt coffee break at 12 30.
Three of four juvenile girls who ran away from the State School for Girls at Oregon Friday night were picked up in Kenosha this morning. Sgt. Beulah Hartwig said one girl was from Kenosha, others from Madison and Milwaukee. Another from
Police report ongoing search for Milwaukee resident believed abducted. Three girls ages 16 and 17 were picked up earlier, raising concern and prompting fresh outreach for leads and identification.
