One Dead in Accident As Car Tire Blows Out

Ambulance Company Vets Hold Reunion Form Permanent Group
More than 200 World War II veterans of the 593rd 594th and 595th Ambulance Companies gathered at the American Legion hall in Kenosha for a first postwar reunion. Rev. George B. Ellsworth Josiah Gardinier 86 of Somers township died at home after a three week illness. Born July 3, 1861 in Somers, he was a farmer and community leader, served as town treasurer and assessor, on the town board, and banker of the Woodman lodge for 20 years. He married Jane Hareeus in 1883 and was survived by his wife, four sons, five daughters, 23 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
