Kenosha Youth Killed in Highway 12 Motorcycle Crash
Frederick O. Squires 18 of Kenosha died instantly when his motorcycle collided with two cars on Highway 12 four miles north of Elkhorn Wisconsin. Mary Lou Sorenson 20, also of Kenosha, was injured. Coroner Robert Betzer called the death accidental. The rider was going south on a hill approaching a curve.

Plane Lands in Field and Cuts Wires near Racine
Two Civil Air Patrol fliers from Racine escaped serious injury after a forced landing of their Army L-4 observation plane in a field along Berryville road. Pilot Second Lt. Orville Cleven and co pilot Edward Hackman were unhurt though the propeller and landing gear were damaged.
